MenuThe Ambassador's history dates back to the beginning of the 20th century and spans across the globe - from India to Africa and across Europe - then into the modern day era where his grandchildren, through their love and admiration, created Ambassadors Clubhouse, in the Ambassador's honour.

Traveled back to India, enlisted in the army, then joined the Civil Service
1946
Appointed India’s first Trade Commissioner for Ceylon in Sri Lanka
Lived in Bombay and worked as a senior government official for trade and export
1948
Appointed as the Indian Consul General in Pondicherry and was closely involved with the ashram in Pondicherry, while negotiating the transfer of power from the French to India
1954
Appointed Representative of the Government of India in Malaya, presiding over Malaya, Singapore, Borneo, Sarawak and Brunei
1960
Appointed Indian Ambassador to the Netherlands
1964
Appointed India’s High Commissioner to Zanzibar — to Kenya
1965
Appointed India’s first Ambassador to Ireland
1968
Retired to Dalhousie, India, which he had not been back to his family home in ten years
